The scale of the operations and infrastructure that helps power Western Australia’s homes and businesses are almost impossible to comprehend from the classroom.

As part of its participation in this year’s Resources Technology Showcase, Chevron – the largest holder of natural gas resources in Australia – is offering a lucky group of students an exclusive tour of the Chevron-operated Wheatstone liquefied natural gas project in the Pilbara town of Onslow.

The tour aims to deepen students’ understanding of the complex work behind WA’s energy industry and the career opportunities available to them.

As part of the trip, students will engage with Chevron’s workforce and get first-hand experience of how the Wheatstone Project operates, including the plant and marine operations control centres, the turbine workshop and the laboratory.

The Resources Technology Showcase is free, and is open on Sunday April 2 from 2-4pm and Monday April 3 and Tuesday April 4 from 9am-4pm at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
