Fans can officially call her mummy as Alex Cooper announces the birth of her first child with husband Matt Kaplan.

The 32-year-old Call Her Daddy podcast host shared the news along with a glimpse of her newborn baby to Instagram on Tuesday.

The new mum did not reveal any other details in the post, simply adding a blue heart emoji in the caption.

Cooper first revealed her pregnancy in May, sharing photos with Kaplan, 42, as she cradled her baby bump.

The new parents were married in April 2024 in Mexico after first meeting over Zoom in 2020.

In an effort to protect Kaplan’s identity from her fans, Cooper nicknamed him “Mr Sexy Zoom Man” when referring to her now-husband.

Cooper’s journey to motherhood has not been entirely smooth-sailing, the business mogul revealing in 2025 that she experienced “excruciating” side effects from coming off birth control when starting the process to conceive a child.

She told podcast listeners “new hormonal fluctuations” left her feeling “out of control” of her body which resulted in her putting a pause on trying to conceive while choosing to prioritise her own health.

“I could tell something wasn’t right,” she revealed on her podcast.

“I just started spiralling and assuming the worst.”

Two months after her pregnancy announcement in May, Cooper revealed she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, a condition where placental hormones cause insulin resistance.

In a video posted to her Instagram, Cooper said the diagnosis left her feeling emotional and isolated.

“When I got this diagnosis, the first couple days, I was really hard on myself and it felt very isolating,” she said.

“As much as my family and my husband and everyone was there for me, I just felt like it’s me on an island.

“This diagnosis was so upsetting, I think, because during pregnancy there’s already so much emotionally that you’re going through.”

A month later, Cooper revealed the difficulty of managing her condition which includes having to perform frequent self-administered blood tests.
