It’s tough for some in Summer Bay as Ari is faced with the decision to get back together with his ex, Mia or stay with Mac.

Chloe and Mia have only been in the show for a few weeks but they’re already sounding like a broken record.

Every conversation they have is about their deep-rooted trust issues and pent-up anger they have over the life they could have had with Ari and Nikau.

But the producers are going to hammer this into us a little longer so the episode starts with Ari appealing to Chloe again to forgive her mum. A conversation and outcome we are quite familiar with.

But Ari’s best efforts don’t work and it only riles Chloe up just in time for her first day of work at Salt, where she’s trained by Ryder because Mac has taken the day off with a personal crisis.

Ryder and Chloe butt heads about everything from folding napkins to taking breaks and later on Chloe storms out and they virtually declare their mutual hatred for one another.

On the other hand Mia has all but declared her love for Ari.

She has rented a van — which means she’s staying for as long as it takes for Chloe for forgive her — when Ari notices an old photo of them with Chloe from back in the day.

Then Ari freaks out and says he loves Mac but if he didn’t go to prison “would we still be together?”.

Everyone watching is way ahead of them and basically gave up on Ari and Mac’s relationship last night when Mac told Ari to figure out what he wants.

Ari and Mia delve into their deep history and how important they once were to each other when Mia admits she thought their relationship would have lasted.

“I felt we were forever,” Mia says to Ari.

Ari pauses for a quite a long time, then says “me too”.

At that point he calls his girlfriend and wants to get out of town for a few days to spend some quality time together and decide which of the two women he loves more.

Oh to be an eligible bachelor — or even taken — in Summer Bay.

Meanwhile Susie is on John’s campaign trail... because she’s really after his money, house and probably the land the Surf Club is on and wants to turn it into some development.

But John doesn’t see through the con artist and is lapping up every single one of her words.

They run into Justin and Leah who share their big news that they have decided to get a house of their own, so how convenient it is that there’s a new real estate agent in town?

Susie comes back to John’s house and enquires about Jett and how much money he must earn to live in the city and the other kids he and Maz looked after.

After a quick Google, it’s confirmed that Jett’s mum is already dead but it wouldn’t be the most far-fetched thing if she came back to life in the body of Bridie Carter.

But her next actions debunk this theory and while John pops out to get some celebratory champagne, Susie immediately leaps into action and snoops through his documents.

She seems pleased by what she finds.

“I’m head over heels for you,” Susie says.
