I never TV-met dead Robbo but he’s mentioned so often it’s like the mourning will never end.

So you can imagine my complete shock and need to type in caps when my beloved Jasmine proceeds to remove her wedding ring.

Here’s what happened in the lead up.

Jasmine is sprinting along the beach which can only mean one thing. Something is wrong.

It’s no doubt her growing feelings for Lewis are making her feel guilty about moving on from dead Robbo.

But there’s no time to dwell because the gym — that dead Robbo bequeathed to Jasmine — isn’t open.

Alf doesn’t think Kieran will be back anytime soon, which is brilliant news for us.

Jas ignores her gym responsibilities for now and skives off to talk to Irene about her new love interest.

“We had a moment,” Jas tells Irene.

Yeah, we get it. The script has dropped the word “moment” so many times, not to mention the promos going hard on this “moment” that is so indescribable, it’s exactly that.

“I guess I’ve always been attracted to him,” Jasmine says,

But she has doubts.

“You’re worried about what Robbo might think,” Irene says. “You’ve got every right to move on.”

“Then why does it feel like I’m betraying him?” Jas replies.

Jas runs into Lewis (of course) and they have a pretty mature and upfront conversation about how they feel about each other, but Jasmine isn’t ready.

“Did I imagine it or did we have a moment?” Lewis says to Jasmine.

“I do have feelings for you,” Jasmine says.

But she’s not ready to move on from dead Robbo.

Lewis says he will be there when she’s ready — but more on that later.

Susie and John are going well although I still think it’s part of a bigger plan.

Alf is taking all his anger out on John over the upcoming AGM so Susie suggests it’s the perfect time to boot Alf from his high horse as President and takes control of John’s campaign to run against him.

“You want a fight Palmer, you’ve got one,” Alf says.

Meanwhile Leah and Justin are planning Tori and Christian’s surprise engagement party. It’s tomorrow.

The new lovebirds briefly discuss plans for their wedding and Christian is a typical man and has absolutely no thoughts as to when or where the wedding would be.

They are, however, growing pretty suspicious that something is up — which isn’t helped by Justin, who could at least try and not be the most awkward person.

As the day drags on, Tori is expecting the worst and assumes Justin's back problems have returned.

“We know you’ve been lying to us,” Christian says to Justin to get answers out of him.

“Tori is beside herself.”

Justin caves immediately and tells him about the party.

“I could really use your help,” Justin says.

Christian is onboard and promises to tell Tori “everything at lunch” — which is a ruse to get her to the party.

Tori isn’t happy when she arrives.

Everyone starts whispering.

“Do you think she’s bolted?” Justin says.

Indeed Tori is about to bolt but she comes around and is welcomed to her surprise party.

What a turn out.

It’s a good turn out on such short notice with just a handful of familiar faces and the rest of the venue is packed out with extras.

Lewis and Jasmine whisk baby Gracie from the party for a bit of quiet time.

“You’re really good with her,” Lewis says.

His phone rings. We don’t hear the result but it’ll be poignant.

“You are looking at the new nursing manager at the ED of the Northing Districts Hospital,” he announces.

Justin doesn’t really make a speech at the party but he does whip out the guitar. I didn’t know he could sing but I really hope it’s nothing like that time one of the long lost Daddo’s sung at Ryder’s gig.

It’s not actually that bad.

The happy couple dance while Leah goes weak at the knees and the camera pans around to all the other happy faces, including Jasmine.

OMG, JASMINE TAKES HER WEDDING RING OFF.

Oh it’s just a quick ploy to make sure we’re paying attention.

The ring is firmly back on the finger. But what a wild — if not brief — ride that was.

Finally the Ziggy, Tane, Mac and Dean situation, which is basically a lot of hype to fill time because by the end of the episode, it’s all resolved.

But here’s the gist of it.

Mac thinks Ziggy should tell her ex, Dean, about her new relationship with Tane.

She doesn’t owe him anything but when the opportunity arises at Salt, Zig chickens out and she comforts Dean about Colby instead.

However Dean misreads the signs and thinks that Ziggy is going to get back together with him.

“I’ve been thinking about it all night and if there’s any chance I’ll take it,” Dean says.

“I love her.”

But Deano doesn’t stand a chance.

Mac realises what did, or rather didn’t, go down and she and Zig have a massive fight about it.

Zig flees to the comfort of Tane’s massive arms and he’s actually really understanding about the whole breakup and guilt over letting Dean fend for himself while his life has been ripped apart.

“It would be cruel to tell him about us now,” Zig says to Tane.

“This is a really small town, Dean deserves to hear it from you,” Tane says.

Zig meets Dean on the jetty so we know it’s going to be good. This jetty has a rich history of emotional events taking place on its (probably rotting) timber.

“Zig I love you, I never stopped loving you,” Dean says.

“Stop talking,” Ziggy replies. “There’s someone else.”

Little Dean’s heart is crushed by Zig yet again and he heads home to drown his sorrows “with a slab of beer” — which has Alf very concerned.

Considering there are quite a few adult themes in this show, the amount of attention a man — who isn’t an alcoholic — with a carton receives is quite disproportionate.

Anyway, everything works out in the end. Mac comforts Dean who one minute is going on about how he’s in love and then within the same breath, he’s moving on.

Zig is stress cleaning and Tane once again shows some very deep character development.

“You don’t need to protect me. If you’re sad, be sad. If you’re happy, be happy,” he says.

They’re on their way to the gym (Zig is actually in appropriate clothing this time) but not without an awkward encounter with a shirtless Dean, but they’ll get past it.

Finally, there’s head injury at the hospital.

There’s a lot of beeping. Budget McDreamy announces that’s he’s going to operate but not if Lewis has anything to do with it because apparently the Doc was drinking.

I don’t know if Lewis is making this up as I do distinctly recall Budget McDreamy ordering a water, and not even a fancy water, at the party.

However the Doc says he only had a sip of bubbles.

“I don’t care, you can’t operate,” Lewis declares.
