It stars Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist as journalist Sadie McCarthy, a big fan of old-fashioned political reporting, who idolises figures like Hunter S. Thompson. She’s determined to make her mark while covering the campaign trail of a presidential hopeful, hitting the road for a stint aboard the campaign bus.

So far, so dry, right?

Not entirely: if you’ve seen early trailers, you’ll know this series is more about the interpersonal relationships formed on that bus as Sadie grows closer to her female competitors, battle-hardened senior reporter Grace (Carla Gugino), Lola (Natasha Behnam), a young TikToker with the youth in her corner, and Fox News-esque reporter Kimberlyn (Christina Elmore).

“Despite their differences, the women become a found family with a front-row seat to the greatest soap opera in town — the battle for the White House,” reads an official release — and sign us up!

This series is adapted from Amy Chozick’s bestselling book Chasing Hillary (Chozick is creator and executive producer) and is based on her own experiences on the campaign trail.

Can’t wait for this one.

Filmed entirely in Western Australia — Derby, no less — this comedy crime thriller, starring Superstore’s Ben Feldman, is loosely inspired by the real-life disappearance of Paddy Moriarty from outback Australia. It’s just the kind of ridiculous fun you’d expect from Jungle Entertainment, the production company behind No Activity, Mr Inbetween and A Moody Christmas. Heaps of fun.

Liane Moriarty’s books are tailor-made for TV — this is the third to be made into a series. It stars Sam Neill and Annette Bening as tennis coaches Stan and Joy, whose picture-perfect life is anything but. Jake Lacy, Alison Brie, Conor Merrigan-Turner and Essie Randles star as their adult children, who are forced to confront the realities of their parents’ lives when their mother goes missing. One for fans of the book.

It tells the story of the real-life heroes of the 100th Bomb Group, immortalised in the series. Featuring rarely seen archival footage and exclusive interviews, the hour-long doco “spotlights the true stories of several characters and real-life airmen featured in Masters Of The Air”.
