Hawkhead’s work is largely inspired by water and watery sites, and promises to feel familiar to “all those who gaze out to the ocean, delight in the patter of rain, and relish the sensation of diving into a pool”.

Chinese-Malaysian-Australian, Queer, Buddhist-raised Capricorn, and a vaping dance theatre artist — Zendra Giraudo re-imagines the 11th-century myth of Madam White Snake. Taking in stories of Chinese diaspora, Western dance, and queer history, this dance work is a unique retelling of the ancient tale.
