Cardi B SHUTS DOWN red carpet
The US rapper has shut down the Met arrivals with her insane look that spans the width of the red carpet.
The star had nine men help her lift the massive train of her black dress and place it down in what was a jaw-dropping moment.
What a way to close the Met Gala red carpet!
Doja Cat’s wet look
Okay, now the rapper’s first look in a white towel makes sense.
Doja has arrived at the red carpet in a white dress and revealed she used hair gel to create the wet look.
Not a Troye Sivan moment without a “peekaboo”
Sivan is dressed in all Prada from a 2008 Autumn look for his third Met Gala.
Vogue told him: “It’s not a Troye Sivan look without a little bit of skin.”
“The blue eyes, blue shirt, I’m swooning.”
He also has a little butterfly on his pants which is an ode to the Garden of Time theme.
The pop star will soon “sweat across the US” with Charli XCX on their tour.
Kim Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner arrive
More highly anticipated guests are Kim Kardashian and her sisters.
No strangers to the Met, the trio have arrived and are heating up the carpet.
Kardashian is wearing a custom silver Galiano courture dress with her white blonde hair styled in waves.
“I just love seeing friends, seeing my sisters, we have a group chat and we still get nervous no matter how many times we’ve been here,” she told Vogue.
As for Kendall, she is wearing a 1999 Givenchy dress that has ony been seen on a mannequin before.
“I’m the first human to wear it,” she said.
‘The theme to me is archival, in my research I came across this dress and the chances that it was available and that it fit me were slim but it fit perfectly...it was meant to be.”
Lana Del Rey looks ethereal
The singer is collecting a lot of looks from guests as she arrived in a golden nature inspired look with her head covered in a veil.
Gigi Hadid is STUNNING like always
The model’s arrival at the event is one of the anticipated appearances of the night.
Hadid is wearing a dress made from two million beads on the dress alone.
“I’m heavy breathing, it was so slow getting up here (the stairs),” she told Vogue.
The dress took 500 hours to make at the hands of 70 people.
Ariana Grande in a pearler of an outfit
The singer and actress is dressed in a mother of pearl dress which is coincidentaly Grande’s birth stone.
“It’s just the perfect thing,” she giggled.
“I can’t hear anything it’s so loud.”
What’s inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art?
Many of the celebrities being interviewed are talking about the anticipation of seeing the exhibits inside the museum.
The museum’s fashion collection is so old and delicate that the garments can’t be displayed on mannequins. Instead, the exhibit will involve AI and 3D recreations of the work.
The show will include about 250 pieces from four centuries.
Also on display will be this stunning yellow moment worn by Rihanna in 2015.
More Aussie royalty is in the building!
From Troye Sivan to Chris Hemsworth, Australia has some iconic representation at this colossal event.
Now Kylie Minogue is here!
Sivan is currently being interviewed by YouTube and TikTok sensation Emma Chamberlain.
