More than 12,000 revellers enjoyed the 15th instalment of the annual local celebration of beer, bratwurst and Bavarian culture.

Staged at Langley Park, the event is one of seven taking place across the country this month — the biggest Oktoberfest series celebration in Australia.

It was last year named by Conde Nast Traveller as one of the top five in the world.

Festivalgoers made the most of beer halls, bratwurst and were entertained by roving performers, thrill rides and a silent disco.
