After narrowly missing out on a semifinal berth on Thursday, Albany faced West Pilbara in a fifth and sixth play-off game on Friday at Murdoch University Sports Ground.

Albany had been set to feature in the semis after bowling Great Southern out for 148 on Wednesday in their pursuit of 153 to win.

However, Albany were penalised 18 runs by the umpires for a slow over rate and lost the match to end their title hopes.
