Nicholas William Knight remanded in custody after being charged with three counts of sexual assault in Albany

An Albany man has been remanded in custody after being charged with sexually assaulting a woman three times in one day. Nicholas William Knight, 33, appeared in police custody in Albany Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with three counts of sexual penetration without consent. All three offences allegedly occurred on Wednesday, December 10, in Albany. Defence lawyer Bruno Illari requested an adjournment in order to offer Mr Knight legal advice, due to his “very recent arrest”. He did not apply for bail on the Mr Knight’s behalf. Magistrate Erin O’Donnell noted that the 33-year-old had appeared before her only days earlier on Monday for unrelated matters. Mr Knight will next appear in Albany Magistrates Court on January 13 via video link from prison.
