Treble gives Rogers a commanding lead in Great Southern Trainers’ Premiership
A treble at Percy Spencer Racecourse has pushed Roy Rogers further clear in the Great Southern Trainers’ premiership.
Rogers finished with three winners at Albany Racing Club last Thursday to take his tally to 42 in a career-best season.
He now sits 17 wins in front of last season’s winner Steve Wolfe (25 wins), who has dominated the title for the best part of two decades. There are three meetings left on the 2020-21 calendar.
Kristella was an impressive winner at her second start since joining the Rogers stable, leading all the way for apprentice jockey Beaux Banovic-Edwards.
