AUSTRALIA DAY 2024 HONOURS LIST AT A GLANCE

* 1042 Australians named

* 739 people were recognised in the Order of Australia (general division)

* Four Companions (AC) of the Order of Australia

* 194 Members (AM) of the Order of Australia

* 503 Medals (OAM) of the Order of Australia

* 20 awarded in Military Division of the Order of Australia

* 224 Meritorious Awards

* 59 Distinguished and Conspicuous Awards (Military)

* 49 people on the Honours List included in COVID honour roll

* 50.5 per cent of people recognised in general division were women, the first time the Australia Day Honours List has had a majority of females

* It's the second time women have outnumbered men for Order of Australia honours, following the King's Birthday Honours in 2023

* More than 42 per cent of the honours were given to people for community service

* The youngest recipient is 32-years-old, while the eldest is 100.
