A male juvenile has been charged by Derby detectives in relation to two home invasions he was allegedly involved in, including one where an elderly man was left with serious injuries.

The first incident occurred on May 30, where a male occupant was allegedly confronted by the offender while he was inside his Knowesley Street West home.

The occupant was allegedly forced to hand over the keys to his car.

Four days later, the offender allegedly attacked a man aged in his 70s, in his Kunamarra Street home, demanding for his car keys.

The victim is understood to still be recovering in hospital.
