Donnybrook have continued making their case to play in their first SWFL women’s finals series after recording a massive 89-point win over the Dunsborough Sharks, 13.17 (95) to 1.0 (6), at Dunsborough Playing Fields on Sunday.

From the outset, the Dons were quick to dominate the field, booting 4.3 during the opening term while the Sharks were left struggling to drive the ball forward.

The second term followed a similar pattern as the Dons continued controlling the contest with a 3.5 haul to extend their lead to 50 points by half-time.

Just when it looked as though the Sharks would be finishing their season with another scoreless effort, Skye Dalton broke through against her former team to score a goal for Dunsborough.

However, the Dons remain unfazed and continued distancing themselves from the Sharks, pushing their lead out to 73 points by the final change.

Although the Sharks were ultimately unable to add further scores to their tally, they managed to step up the pressure enough to restrict the Dons to just 2.4 for the final term as Donnybrook went on to record a dominant victory.

Star forwards Bethany Bond and Lacey Holdsworth booted three goals each for the Dons, while Jesse Davies (two goals), Lisa Worsfold (two goals), Megan Bain, Che Harcombe and Kiara Little all contributed to the massive win.

Bond, Bain, Harcombe, Charli Wicksteed, Fleur Parker and Leila Fotu were named among the best for the Dons, while Dalton, Shelby Foster, Kendall Smith, Brigitte Morgan, Katie Horrocks and Amanda Chow were among the best for the Sharks.
