Busselton Dunsborough Times

The Busselton and Dunsborough Multicultural Association and auspicing Undalup Association Inc have received a $5000 grant for this year’s South West Harmony Festival to be held in Busselton in March. The group received the funding to help facilitate the festival on Sunday, March 25 as part of nation-wide Harmony Week, which runs from March 15-21.

The festival will provide a platform for the region’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities to display their tradi-tional cultures and foods to the wider community alongside a program of performances and activities.

Japanese, Moroccan, Brazilian, African, Spanish, French and Indonesian communities are all expected to be represented.

The free festival is expected to attract up to 1000 people and will be delivered in partnership with the Undalup Association to feature Aboriginal culture.
