All eyes were on talented tennis players last month at the Country Academy Plate Finals at the State Tennis Centre in Perth.

The finals were postponed from March due to COVID-19 but that didn’t hold back Dunsborough Primary School players, who struck the ball with purpose in the grand final battle.

DPS physical education teacher Daphne Sinclair said it was a great day of tennis.

“Narrogin, St Joseph’s and Broomehill were smashed by the Dunsborough A-Team with Tom Culley, Blayde Watt, Ava Horsford, and Maddison Cucel defeating them to finish at the top of Pool A,” she said.

“‘Dunsborough’s B-Team defeated Corrigin District High School, Brookton DHS, Beverly DHS, and St Patrick’s Primary to finish at the top of Pool B.”

The A-Team won the grand final.
