Busselton is home to WA’s top tourist attraction and now the city can lay claim to having the State’s best park.

The Busselton Foreshore Jetty Precinct was named park of the year at Parks and Leisure Australia’s WA Awards of Excellence on June 6.

The precinct beat out Aveley’s Aviary Creek Park and Hamilton Hill’s Dixon Park.

The vibrant, colourful space between The Goose and Equinox, which attracts tourists and locals, is anchored by features such as the nautical-theme adventure playground Sea Play on the Bay, and the sound shell amphitheatre.

The precinct now goes up against projects from around Australia to vie for the national title, with national winners to be announced on October 29.
