Amy, Amy, Amy, the acclaimed Amy Winehouse tribute act, is visiting the South West for the first time to deliver the ultimate Winehouse experience.

Since 2015, the band have sold out shows across Perth including The Ellington Jazz Club, Jimmy’s Den, The Rosemount Hotel and the Bar Pops Urban Orchard festival.

Now, they descend on the region as part of the uber-cool music festival, Jazz by the Bay.

The band will perform favourite tracks from albums Frank, Back to Black, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, covers such as The Beatles’ Love is a Losing Game, and rare B-side tracks..

Amy, Amy, Amy lead singer Jessica Welsh said the band were “super-excited” to perform in the South West. “Amy Amy Amy is a celebration of the late musical legend who gave us one of my favourite songs of all time — Take the Box,” she said.

“She was an incredible singer songwriter and through my studies at WAAPA I found some similarities in my voice.”

Welsh graduated from WAAPA in 2016 and is now a vocal music teacher at Perth Waldorf School in Bibra Lake.

“I love her vulnerability and brutal honesty,” Welsh said.

“It combines so well with her beautiful delivery and sometimes humorous or sad lyrics.”

“We’ve watched recordings of our packed shows and the audience always sing along because she means a lot to a lot of people. It’s beautiful and we encourage that.”

Equipped with an entertaining horns section and stunning backing vocalists, the nine-piece will take the Settlers Tavern stage by storm on June 2.

“The main thing about our performance is the attention to detail — we incorporate the extra recordings and interludes into our performance which makes for a super fan experience,” Welsh said.

The show will start at 9pm.

Tickets are $30 and available from settlerstavern.com via StickyTickets. Jazz by the Bay will run from May 31-June 3.
