Bay locale, tunes and all that jazz
Jazz by the Bay will return to Dunsborough, Busselton and Margaret River during the June long weekend with a feast of live music and entertainment for the event’s seventh anniversary.
International artists and events are confirmed for the popular music festival, to run from May 31 to June 3. Critically acclaimed Australian-American vocalist Chris McNulty and sought-after jazz trumpeter Ashlin Parker will perform at this year’s festival for the first time.
The festival welcomes the return of New York-based Nerissa Campbell, who enthralled jazz- lovers with her performances last year.
Caves Road Collective will become a swinging dance hall when Perth’s jazz, rhythm and blues performers Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys perform hits from the 1940s and 50s.
Soulful vocalist Holli Scott will perform at the free On the Green Dunsborough event, and at Rustico at Hayshed Hill.
Event director Cindy Wiese said 2019 was shaping up to provide one of the richest musical experiences yet.
“There’s a rich range of both free and ticketed events planned to appeal to people who love music, dancing and live performances of true jazz aficionados,” she said.
Tickets to events at Caves Road Collective and Rustico at Hayshed Hill are now available from sticky tickets.com.au.
