This weekend the Busselton Naturalists Club and the Cape to Cape Bird Group will join forces to survey birds in Ambergate.

In what is called a ‘bird blitz’ experienced twitchers from the group will help beginners conduct surveys as they walk trails in the reserve.

A comparison of notes to see if more birds have been added to the 79 species of birds already recorded in the reserve will take place in the carpark following one hour of surveying.

Nats Club president Bernie Masters said the weather was “looking perfect” and some binoculars would be available for participants to use.

“If you'd like to learn more about birds, please join us and bring morning tea,” Mr Masters said.
