Multi ARIA award-winning artist Alex Lloyd will visit Dunsborough on a national tour commemorating the 20th anniversary of his debut album, 1999’s Black the Sun.

Lloyd and the original line-up of his band will play the entire double platinum-selling record in full.

Upon its release, Lloyd’s debut sky-rocketed to win Triple J’s Album of the Year and he took out Best New Artist and Best Male Artist at the ARIAs.

The electronica-inspired pop record included hit singles Lucky Star, Black the Sun, Something Special and My Way Home.

It spent 28 weeks in the top 50 albums of 1999.

Lloyd went on to release the Australian classic, Amazing, which went platinum, won Triple J’s hottest 100 and resulted in Lloyd’s third ARIA award for Best Male Artist.

Alex Lloyd will play Dunsborough Tavern on Friday, October 18.
