The Master Builders-Bankwest South West Building Excellence Awards, held on Saturday March 23, saw several local builders taking out the top prizes.

The Master Builders WA Home of the Year Award went to Paradigm Construction Margaret River, WA Country Builders was named Large Project Builder of the Year and best new builder was Hanrahan Construction.

Dale Alcock Homes South West took out Best Display Home for The Westhampton, Geographe, while Best Alterations and Additions went to Cape Constructions, Naturaliste.

The Best Water Wise Home went to Resonate Homes, Margaret River and Excellence in Energy Efficiency was awarded to Holst Design and Build, Yallingup.

Master Builders Executive Director John Gelavis said the South West awards attracted more than 100 entries and the projects added up to a value of more than $255million.

“The South West is a cherished part of our State and it is great to see builders in the region can be held in equally high regard,” he said.

The top commercial project will compete with the best across WA in the 2019 Master Builders Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards in July and the residential winner will progress to the WA Housing Awards next year.
