A sizeable donation provided by the Busselton Lions Club to a palliative care service this month will help it continue to serve the commu-nity. Adding to the $150,000 it has already donated locally in the past 12 months, the Lions Club has given $15,000 to Busselton Hospice Care to ensure it can continue to provide its end-of-life services. Busselton Hospice Care community outreach service co-ordinator Kylee Anderson said the money would help fund the unit at the Busselton Health Campus and at the Geographe Bay Centre. “That includes our new home-visiting palliative care volunteers and our carer education webinar series that helps carers feel confident caring for a loved one with a terminal illness at home,” Ms Anderson said. “Financial support from the Busselton Lions Club is vital to keeping services like ours running. “This is how the community looks after one another.” Information on the Busselton Lions can be found online at busselton.wa.lions.org.au.
