Police in the South West are on the lookout for a man who was involved in the armed hold-up of a Busselton firearms store on Thursday morning.

At about 8.50am on Thursday police responded to an incident at a store on Fairlawn Road in the Busselton light industrial area.

A man entered the premises armed with a firearm. He subsequently stole a long-arm rifle and ammunition.

He was last seen leaving the store in a silver-coloured vehicle, which police believe could be a Holden Commodore wagon or similar.

The offender has been described as being light skinned, 25 to 30 years old, of a medium or stocky build and with dark hair under a cap.

He was wearing a dark, long-sleeved top with a white shirt underneath and black shorts.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 131 444.
