The teenager behind the wheel of a fatal crash south of Busselton earlier this year has faced five charges for the death and injuries of her friends. The 17-year-old Kealey girl appeared in Busselton Children’s Court this morning charged with two counts of manslaughter and four counts of endangering the life, health or safety of a person. She made no comments other than to confirm she understood the charges and the matter has been adjourned for legal advice. Police allege at around 8.45pm April 17, the girl was driving on Doyle Road on Kalgup when she failed to negotiate a left-hand bend and struck a tree. Two of the seven teenage passengers died as a result of the crash, while the other passengers and the charged driver were taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries. She will reappear next month.
