Busselton textile artists to highlight their talents in premier exhibition

Local artists and groups will highlight their talents in what is set to be the premier exhibition for Busselton this season. The Coast exhibition will present a collection of textile artists from the Western Australian Fibre and Textile Association Busselton and the Busselton Spinners and Weavers. The Busselton Spinners and Weavers, part of the Handweavers, Spinners and Dyers Guild of Western Australia, were established in Busselton more than 40 years ago when they held its first meeting in the Old Courthouse Complex. WAFTA Busselton began meeting in November 2021. All the artists were given the exact same brief to create artwork that addresses a coastal theme, while focusing on sustainability such as using reused, recycled and sustainable materials.
