Campers plead guilty for fire

Jackson Lavell-LeeBusselton Dunsborough Times

The four men behind an illegal campfire which sparked an out-of-control bushfire at Three Bears on March 4 have pleaded guilty in Busselton Magistrate’s court.

Timothy Andrew Bockman, Benjamin Filliep Dallinger, Corey Bruce Robinson and Jake Linton Robinson, all of Perth, will reappear for sentencing in Bunbury District Court on July 22.

The men were charged with failing to reasonably ensure that a fire source would not cause a fire that could not be controlled.

The fire was attended by five fire brigades, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and Dunsborough Police who arrested the men.
