Canal Rocks boat ramp rescue launch

Busselton Dunsborough Times

Naturaliste Volunteer Marine Rescue launched from Canal Rocks on Sunday after receiving an EPIRB transmission off the coast of Cape Naturaliste.

The transmission was set off by two men after their jet ski broke down and drifted out to sea.

The men managed to tie the jet ski onto a cray pot buoy and await rescue, which came within the hour.

NVMR volunteers said the incident proved the Canal Rocks boat ramp was a vital facility and should not be closed.
