Celebration to benefit charity
Community members donned their best spring racing attire on Tuesday in celebration of the race that stops the nation.
Guests were treated to a day of live music, fashion, food and festivities at Hyde Park in Busselton with all proceeds from the Melbourne Cup event going to Conquer Cystic Fibrosis South West.
The volunteer-run charity helps to fund research to improve and extend the lives of more than 3300 Australians with cystic fibrosis.
The day saw Perth-based rock band The Sheds perform live, fashions on the field judging, live auctions, sweepstakes and a range of spring canapes served by Laundry 43’s Catering Line.
