Busselton Golf Club has been awarded the Regional golf facility of the year award at the 10th anniversary of the WA Golf Industry Gala Dinner.

The award recognises a facility which has shown a high standard of performance across several areas during the year, including membership retention and growth, financial performance, clubhouse operations, course operations, community contribution, and participation. The Busselton Golf Club took the prize from Kalgoorlie Golf Course and Geraldton’s Spalding Park Golf Club.

Busselton Golf Club general manager Ross Davis said it was a timely recognition of the generous work by volunteers and dedicated staff. “Our submission focused on the community aspect of the club, how we assist with charity events and hosting special events in the clubhouse,” Mr Davis said.

“We have around 670 members and people come from all over WA to play at this club because of the magnificent greens, the course is challenging and people know they’re in for a good time.”

The club’s membership base grew to include nine-hole memberships, Sunday-only memberships and FIFO memberships to cater for different needs.

Head professional Correy Price is available for lessons.
