Former Busselton resident Russell Chandler is ready to take on a new role acting in one of three comedy plays at the Stirling Theatre in Perth this February.

The former director of the Busselton Fringe is appearing in The End of the Beginning as Barry Derrill, one of two bumbling Irish farmhands.

The End of the Beginning follows the farmhands as they try to complete housework, facing various degrees of difficulty along the way.

Written by Sean O’Casey and directed by Joe Teakle, the play is being presented with two other works under the banner of A Night of Comedy.

The other plays on the bill are The Local, written and directed by Siobhan Wright, and The Surprise Party, written and directed by Peter Flanigan.

A Night of Comedy plays at 7.30pm on February 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17, with a 2pm matinee February 11. Tickets are $22, and $20 for concessions. Book at trybooking.com/CKSVU.

Stirling Theatre is at 25 Morris Place, Innaloo.
