Cup meeting to raise funds for LAMP
Busselton Harness Racing Club and Community TAB are teaming up to raise funds for LAMP at the annual Busselton Cup on Friday, January 26.
The fundraising program dates back to early 2015 and has since raised more than $360,000 for not-for-profit organisations around WA through partnerships with race clubs.
Busselton Harness Racing Club secretary and treasurer Patricia Abbott said the club would be collecting donations for LAMP on the day, with Community TAB matching donations dollar-for-dollar.
“LAMP provides support to all who suffer from mental and/or other issues,” she said.
"We as a Club have supported LAMP for many years as we know of their valuable work in our community on a shoestring budget.”
Mrs Abbott said LAMP would also set up and staff its Youth Bus to provide information and advice at the Busselton Cup.
Racing and Wagering WA chairman Jeff Ovens said LAMP Busselton was one of more than 50 community organisations supported as part of Community TAB’s $150 million contribution to the WA community.
