CWA garden aid
Dunsborough Country Women’s Association last month held an open garden day to raise money for their new premises within Capecare’s “Armstrong Village” aged care facility.
More than 100 members of the public emerged to support the group at a Yallingup residence, aiding the CWA in raising a whopping $2000 for their venture.
CWA member Sue Bussell said the fundraiser was a success and they were heart- warmed by the amount of support.
“The purpose of the open garden was to fundraise for the fit-out of our new meeting room, kitchen and storage facility within the new Dunsborough aged care facility,” she said.
“The garden was beautiful, colourful, and peaceful despite the bout of bad weather we experienced in the days leading up to it,” Ms Bussell said.
The Dunsborough Capecare facility is now under construction and is set to be completed mid-next year.
Sandra and Ian Creagh opened their garden for the event and Ms Bussell said their support was “appreciated by everyone ”.
