Dunsborough Marketplace shopping centre officially opens with first customers at Woolworths supermarket

Dunsborough’s newest shopping centre has officially opened its doors, adding to the town’s retail options. There were plenty of happy faces on Wednesday as the 4700sqm development on Dunn Bay Road welcomed its first shoppers. Headline tenant Woolworths was the first in the centre to open, with Busselton mayor Phill Cronin and inaugural store manager Benjamin Sainsbury cutting the ribbon for the new supermarket. It will soon be joined by six speciality stores, including Hara Sushi, Gazman and Coastal Kids. The shopping centre is the latest to be opened by WA-owned company Erceg Management, which also operates Busselton’s Power Centre and Bunbury’s Parks Centre in the South West. Director Allan Erceg said the company sought to meet community needs while providing premium space for retailers. “We’re pleased to be able to deliver this fresh, new shopping experience in the vibrant heart of Dunsborough that is tailored to the local area, meeting the needs of residents and visitors alike, now and into the future,” he said. The new shopping centre also includes more than 200 car parking bays, two large-scale public artworks and four rooftop apartments which will be available to rent from the end of June.
