Dunsborough street re-opens after bizarre bloody incident
An incident, which resulted in the closure of Dunn Bay Road in Dunsborough, has been deemed “non-suspicious”.
The incident occurred overnight and a man was conveyed to hospital by St John Ambulance with a head injury.
South West District Police tweeted about the incident this morning to advise residents to be patient in the area.
Police were quick to stress the incident was not related to the 2019 Leavers celebrations, which kicked off today.
In a bizarre set of circumstances, and due to witness reports of a collapsed man suffering blood loss, police initially responded to what they thought was a suspected stabbing or assault.
A section of the town’s main street was cordoned off and forensic teams arrived to the scene.
However, after investigations by local detectives, it was determined there were no suspicious circumstances relating to the man’s injuries.
Dunn Bay Road has since re-opened to traffic.
