Folk muso in town
Breezy folk tunes will fill the region when WA musician Michael Dunstan heads to Busselton ahead of his new EP release.
The blues-folk musician will perform at Amelia Park Tavern in Busselton today.
The event follows on from a gig at Swings Taphouse in Margaret River at the weekend, during which he played a repertoire of original and new music.
Originally from the Wheatbelt, the Perth-based artist is fresh off the back of a recent Australian tour, performing alongside fellow WA musician Jordy Maxwell. His new EP Partly Cloudy will be released later this month, and track Red Moon is already earning high rotation on social media and music streaming sites.
Characterised by laid-back intricate fingerpicking, soulful vocals and upbeat foot-stomping grooves, Dunstan is already a regular at venues in the South West, having played at Colonial Brewery, Settlers Tavern and Xanadu Winery last year.
Dunstan’s gig kicks off at 5pm at Amelia Park Tavern.
