The South West Mudfest will return to the paddocks surrounding Bootleg Brewery this weekend for another year of mud and mess.

Participants will experience a new, inclusive 5km course, catering for all abilities and ages.

Some old favourites will return but the event will have a new format.

While course favourites including Ramp It Up, Sniper in the Pines and Snakes Belly will be backthis year, participants can also expect a brand-new format and several new obstacles.

The event will also include a new Muddy Paws Challenge — a canine-friendly modified version of the Mud Mayhem Course.

Running in conjunction with the RSCPA WA, pooches are invited to take on the obstacles, with a portion of registrations going to the RSPCA.

The event kicks off at 9am on Saturday, with the Muddy Paws challenge to follow at 1.30pm.

Parking is by gold coin donation, with funds going to a variety of Margaret River sporting groups.

Registrations cost $66 and groups of four or more in one transaction will receive a further 20 per cent discount.
