Hive hub abuzz with much creative activity
Fourteen months of hard work paid off for Caroline Bannister at the weekend when she opened Margaret River’s first art collective.
The grand opening of The Hive was a celebration of the collective’s first exhibition and also unveiled the new collaborative premises out of which 10 local artists will work.
Bannister said the opening was “absolutely overwhelming and had a fantastic response from the local community”.
“We had more than 200 people attend the opening and I was very pleased to see the support,” she said.
At the opening, Bannister displayed her work alongside that of Karin Luciano, Elaine Clocherty, Mick Hart, Bethany Collins, Danielle Walker, Brooke McQueen, Natalia Ford, Asha Altmann, and Kimberley Box.
Established in December 2019, The Hive Margaret River Art Collective is an innovative community hub where the resident artists create a dynamic and inclusive environment to collaborate in artistic creations.
The hub has five available workspaces.
