Human remains discovered on a Busselton beach last month have been identified.

The family of the deceased have been notified.

A police spokesman told the Times the person’s death had been declared “non-suspicious” and a report would be prepared for the coroner.

Police could not say what the cause of death was or how long the body had been there.

The remains were discovered in the dunes along Geographe Bay Road on December 12, just east of Geographe Bay Yacht Club.
