Injury proves no setback
Busselton Freight Services’ rising sports star for February Lucy Hill is performing better than ever despite suffering a neck injury in the middle of last year.
Hill, pictured, excels in several sports including surf lifesaving, hockey and touch rugby but has soared above with her mountain bike riding achievements.
The sports lover enjoys mountain bike riding and surf lifesaving the most because they are unpredictable and exciting.
“I do these sports mostly because I really enjoy them, all of them have very challenging aspects to them,” Hill said.
Hill holds the State endurance title for the beach run in surf lifesaving but for now she is focusing on mountain bike riding.
“My main focus for sport at the moment is mountain biking,” she said.
“I enjoy doing a lot more fitness stuff as well as working on the techniques and skills for the rough technical terrain that I face.”
Hill was badly injured in a mountain bike fall last year but that did not stop her from competing in the sports she loves.
