Letter to the editor: Farmer’s Bussell Highway speed plea supported by South West locals

I fully agree with Peter Duggan, the dairy farmer just south of the Cowaramup centre, who wrote last week (2/7) about extending the segment of 80km/h speed limit until Cowaramup Bay Road on Bussell Highway.

I have always been reluctant to drive that short stretch at 110km/h because of danger for cows, children and truck movement in that area.

I think it would not be unreasonable to move the 110km/h limit a short distance further south, thereby keeping the 80km/h limit in force in a potentially dangerous location.
