The Indian Ocean Longboard Club round 3 will be held tomorrow, with T-shirts provided by Salt Merchant.

New participants and members are asked to congregate at Yallingup main break at 7am for the beginning of the event.

Round 2 was cancelled midway through the competition because of the Surf Lifesaving Westpac Helicopter reporting a 3m great white shark 50m offshore.

Indian Ocean Longboard Club spokesman Paul Burke said although round 2 had been cancelled many thanks were due to the Dunsborough Yacht Club for providing the “awesome venue” for presentations. “Thanks to Holden Accountants for sponsoring round 2, with a strong turnout expected for round 3 at main break on Saturday morning,” he said.

“Club stalwart and inaugural club champion Vinnie Williams has been ripping it up lately so he will be hard to beat.”

The event is sponsored by SRB Legal with presentations at Dunsborough Lakes Golf Course.
