Lost & Found Festival is heading back to the Bunbury Geographe region this September. This year the festival is expanding, with events happening in three new shires, as Harvey, Capel and Collie join Bunbury, Dardanup and the Ferguson Valley. Now in its third year, the festival will host more than 24 events that aim to showcase the region’s diverse and exciting offerings of food, wine, beer, spirits as well as the well-established entertainment and arts scene. Joint director Brianna Deleporte said the 2023 program would be the biggest yet. “It’s really about encouraging people to get out and explore all the things there is to do in the Bunbury and Geographe region, as well as giving locals a reason to get out and about as well,” she said. “We’ve got about 25 events In our program, which are highlighting some amazing businesses that reside in the region.” Some events include dinner at dusk, which includes many Perth-based food trucks heading out to Koombana Bay Foreshore, as well as a welcome to country to kick off the event. A Cheatmeats workshop involves the TikTok stars behind the Cheatmeats account, where people can learn the art of preparing and smoking meats to perfection. Horseback wine tasting starts off with an adventure on horseback, exploring the outback trails and vineyards of Harris River Estate. Along the way there will be multiple opportunities for wine tasting of chardonnay, verdehlo, cab sav and shiraz at four picturesque locations. “This year, we’ve seen such an uptake in the size of the program because so many businesses have the capacity to get involved now and the consumers around town talk about it and get excited and because they are wanting to get back out there and explore the region again,” Ms Deleporte said. Bunbury mayor Jaysen Miguel added: “Bunbury becomes a real hub throughout the festival with some amazing events happening in our city and many visitors taking advantage of our incredible accommodation and hospitality offerings across the four days.” The event is running from September 7 to September 10 throughout the Bunbury Geographe region.
