Music and cultural workshops

Busselton Dunsborough Times

The Undalup Association is running workshops and cultural activities to engage and educate Busselton’s young people as part of the South West Youth Festival on Saturday, April 14.

Working in partnership with the City of Busselton SHIFT Youth Crew, the Undalup Association will host free rap, cultural dance and hip-hop workshops.

The smoke-free, drug-free event is being sponsored by Country Arts WA and Healthway to promote the Drug Aware message and Undalup chairman Iszaac Webb said it was an opportunity for youth to show leadership skills.

“Our young team has organised these great youth activities — they have also had to learn how to complete and submit a sponsorship application for the event,” he said.

Undalup Youth Project co-ordinator Juddanah Mills said it was “great to see so many people engaging with the activities, learning new things and getting the opportunity to meet some great artists and role models”.

Workshops will run from 10am-noon at the City of Busselton Youth Precinct at the Busselton Foreshore, followed by free entertainment until 4.30pm.
