Donations totalling around $800 have enabled Dunsborough Primary School’s music department to cater to its left-handed students.

Guitars and ukuleles were provided to the school by the Unofficial Dunsborough Jazz Club in an attempt to promote inclusivity in the music community.

DPS music specialist Melanie Smoker said the left-handed equipment bought with the donations would greatly aid the diverse music students she teaches.

“Budgets have to stretch a long way and so it is always wonderful to receive funds to support our fantastic programs at Dunsborough Primary School,” Mrs Smoker said.

“A huge thanks to Bob Jarvis, Pip Jarvis and Lynne Sheen who donated to this very special and useful cause.”
