Five young members of the Busselton Surf Life Saving Club raised the flag at the Busselton Australia Day Ceremony on Saturday.

Busselton Surf Life Saving Club president Darren Maisey said it was a great opportunity for the children. “It’s a great honour for the Busselton Surf Life Saving Club to be asked by the city to raise the flag at Australia Day celebrations,” he said.

“We had two cadets that are Bronze medallion qualified who participated and three nippers”

On the day, the club also trialled new Tiralo II participation equipment designed to allow para athletes access the water without exiting the wheelchair device.
