Opportunity for artists to develop their career

South West Noongar artists are being encouraged to express their interest in a new art development program at an information session in Busselton today, held by the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery.

The free, eight-month program will be based in Bunbury and aims to deliver both art and business skills to those interested.

Bunbury Regional Art Gallery Noongar arts officer Cassie Jetter said it was a “great opportunity” to kickstart a career as an artist.

“It’s a chance to go to the next step of your art career,” she said.

“We’re looking for a group of dedicated artists to commit to the program at next Wednesday’s information session.”

The meet and greet will be held from 10.30am today at Undalup’s new office space in the Youth and Communities building.
