Outdoors captured on canvas
Members of Busselton’s Outdoor Arties will host their first exhibition this weekend.
The group has informally met for about four years and paint in the style of en plein air, which translates from French to “outdoors”.
“A big part of it is painting on the spot ... so we get together outside somewhere and paint what’s in front of us,” member Dee Credaro said.
“It could be a landscape, a streetscape, a seascape — anything.”
Pieces are done on the spot and usually take a few hours.
The group will exhibit at Peta Park, between Art Geo and the Weld Theatre, on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-4pm and 9am-3pm respectively.
Pieces will also be for sale.
