Capes youth will have the opportunity to be creative and participate in the Statewide Youth Week WA KickstART Sketchbook Project exhibition on Monday.

Busselton Library will host a Sketch-In workshop from 3.30pm-5pm for people aged 12-26.

Capel artist Tracie Walsh will offer tips and guidance for those wanting to fill their sketchbooks with paintings, drawings, poetry, free-writing or mixed media art.

Walsh said the initiative was intended for youth to create and collaborate to explore their personality through art.

“We all have our own way of communicating and expressing ourselves, and art is all about unique learning,” she said.

Free sketchbooks will be available on the day, and completed sketchbooks need to be returned to the library by March 27 to be displayed at the KickstART Festival.

The workshop is free but booking is necessary. Go to busseltonlibraries.com.au
