Players celebrate the game

Busselton Dunsborough Times

Hundreds of players came to the Busselton Hockey Stadium at the weekend to compete in and celebrate National Hockey Week.

The initiative, which was brought to life by the Busselton Hockey Association, encouraged players to dress-up, and best-dressed awards were handed out at the end of each match.

Players went above and beyond the call of duty with their costumes, with cowboys, clowns and dinosaurs among some of the chosen characters running around with hockey sticks.

Many goals were scored across the pitches and all teams gave 100 per cent.

The association thanked workers and volunteers for their tireless effort and support.
